Google has begun rolling out new Android features in September 2025, focusing on AI-powered writing, creative emoji stickers, enhanced audio sharing, and Quick Share upgrades for millions of users.
AI Writing in Gboard

Gboard now features AI Writing Suggestions that help users adjust their messages to different tones—formal, expressive, or concise. Spelling and grammar corrections, as well as full-message proofreading, are available with a single tap, all processed securely on-device to maintain privacy. This upgrade streamlines chat composition and gives users more control over how their messages are delivered.
Emoji Kitchen Sticker Enhancements

The Emoji Kitchen has received a fresh update allowing easier browsing and personalization. New suggested combinations, favorites-saving, and a richer variety of creative stickers make it simpler to express moods and reactions in chats. The expanded library encourages playful, unique emoji interactions tailored for every conversation.
Dual Audio Sharing

Android now lets users connect up to two LE Audio Bluetooth headphones to a single device, enabling simultaneous audio playback between friends or groups. For gatherings, a QR code allows group sharing so several people can listen to the same content together, transforming movie nights and music sessions.
Upgraded Quick Share

The redesigned Quick Share improves media transfer between Android devices. Users can instantly switch between sending and receiving files, preview shared photos and videos, and see a live progress indicator for ongoing transfers. This boosts both speed and convenience when sharing memories or important documents.
Availability
These new updates are rolling out to eligible Android devices starting September 2025. Key features are available across a wide range of smartphones and tablets, with rollout schedules varying by device and carrier.
