PayPal has launched a new feature called PayPal Links that makes it easier to send and receive money between people. With this feature, users can create personalized, one-time payment links by entering the payment amount and copying the link to share in chats, texts, or emails. Unlike the older PayPal Me links, which only helped people get paid without specifying amounts, these new links let users request or send money directly for specific payments, making transactions faster and simpler.

This feature first launched in the U.S. and will expand soon to markets like the U.K. and Italy. A major update is that PayPal Links will soon support cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and PayPal’s own stablecoin PYUSD. This will allow users to send crypto not only to PayPal accounts but also to Venmo and other digital wallets that support crypto and stablecoins.

The payment link expires after 10 days if unclaimed, but users can remind or cancel the payment anytime. Recipients can complete the transaction instantly via the PayPal app, and personal payments remain exempt from tax reporting. This new system simplifies peer-to-peer payments by integrating crypto and making money transfers as easy as sharing a message.
