One of the major features of visionOS 2 is the ability to generate spatial photos from existing 2D images. This allows users to enjoy their photos in an immersive way. Spatial videos can also be captured on iPhone 15 Pro and edited on Mac with Final Cut Pro. Canon will also be offering a new spatial lens for its EOS R7 camera, expanding spatial video capture options. Additionally, users can upload and share spatial videos on Vimeo.

VisionOS 2 also improves navigation with new hand gestures and mouse support. Users can personalize their Home View and even share their Vision Pro with others as Guest Users for 30 days.

Travel Mode now supports trains, allowing users to enjoy apps and dial in custom environments while traveling by train.

Apple’s commitment to immersive video continues to gain momentum with the launch of the first commercially available camera system from Blackmagic Design that supports Apple Immersive Video. Additionally, DaVinci Resolve Studio has been updated to add support for Apple Immersive Video, giving professional filmmakers a powerful tool for creating even more engaging content.

The Apple TV app brings multiview for sports, allowing users to see multiple game feeds simultaneously on their screen. The Mindfulness app also gets an update with new breathing exercises to help users relax and de-stress.

Apple Vision Pro is also coming to 8 new countries. Pre-orders for Apple Vision Pro will begin on June 28th in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom with availability beginning on July 12th. Apple Vision Pro will be available for order in China mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore starting this Friday, June 14th with availability beginning on June 28th.
