HONOR has officially launched the HONOR X70 in China, introducing a feature-packed smartphone built for durability and endurance. The device stands out with its 6.79-inch 1.5K AMOLED display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and astonishing up to 6000 nits peak brightness, delivering strong visuals even in harsh lighting conditions.

Battery and Charging

The major highlight is the enormous 8300mAh third-generation silicon-carbon battery, boasting six-year durability. This makes the X70 the second phone on the market to feature a battery exceeding 8000mAh, after HONOR’s own previous release. Despite the large battery, the phone maintains an impressively slim profile at under 8mm thick and weighs under 200 grams.

For power users, the X70 supports 80W fast wired charging, with the top 512GB model also offering 80W wireless superfast charging—a first in its segment.

Durability and Build

HONOR X70 Build

The HONOR X70 sets new standards for ruggedness, debuting as the first smartphone with IP69K dust and water resistance. It is engineered to survive high-pressure water jet sprays and even brief boiling water immersion. The phone undergoes tough drop testing, featuring a bulletproof vest structure, aerospace-grade non-Newtonian fluid cushioning, and multi-layer buffers, offering 2.5m drop resistance and protection against more than ten types of ground impact.

Additional reliability comes through industry certifications, such as the gold label three-proof, SGS five-star reliability, and enhanced usability features like AI rainstorm touch and AI glove touch, ensuring full touch sensitivity in wet or gloved conditions.
