Users can now edit messages within 15 minutes of sending them by pressing and holding on the sent message and selecting “edit” from the menu.
Pin Chats:
Instagram now allows users to pin up to three group or 1:1 chats to the top of their inbox for easy access. Simply swipe left or tap and hold on the chat, then select “pin” to move it to the top.
Toggle Read Receipts:
Users have the option to choose whether to display read receipts for all chats or specific ones. This feature provides flexibility in managing privacy settings.
Save Favorite Stickers and Enhance Replies:
Easily access favorite stickers by saving them in DMs. Users can reply to messages with stickers, GIFs, videos, photos, and voice messages by pressing and holding on the message they want to reply to and selecting “reply.”
Personalize Chats with Themes:
Instagram introduces various themes like Love (soon to be animated), Lollipop, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more to set the tone for chats. Users can change the theme for a chat by tapping the chat name, going into themes, and selecting their desired theme.
