Samsung vows to double Gemini AI reach from 400M to 800M mobile devices this year, announced co-CEO TM Roh at CES 2026. Galaxy AI brand recognition jumped from 30% to 80% in one year, powering Circle to Search, photo editing, and live translation.

The “Connect Future” plan extends beyond phones – TVs gain Vision AI Companion for recipe lookups sent to kitchen appliances, while Ambient AI auto-adjusts home lighting and temperature. Samsung aims for 1B AI home devices in three years.

Memory chip shortages from AI data center demand threaten price hikes across smartphones and appliances. Roh admits no one’s immune; analysts predict 5-20% smartphone increases or spec cuts like reduced RAM.

Galaxy AI’s Google partnership strengthens Samsung against Apple and Chinese rivals, but rising costs test the expansion.
