Microsoft has introduced Copilot Pro, a new premium subscription plan that offers advanced AI-powered features across various Microsoft Office applications. Priced at $20 per user per month, Copilot Pro is designed to provide a higher tier of service for individuals, bringing greater performance, productivity, and creativity to tasks such as writing, coding, designing, researching, and learning.

The key features of Copilot Pro include:

  • A unified AI experience that operates across devices, understanding user context on the web, PC, and apps, with upcoming support for mobile devices.
  • Access to Copilot in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, allowing users to leverage AI capabilities within these applications.
  • Priority access to the latest GPT models from OpenAI during peak times, enabling rapid access to the most recent AI capabilities.
  • The ability to create Copilot GPTs, which allow users to customize Copilot’s behavior on specific topics.
  • The availability of the Copilot app for iOS and Android phones, providing users with on-the-go access to AI-powered features.

In addition to the launch of Copilot Pro, Microsoft has expanded the availability of Copilot for Microsoft 365 to more commercial customers. Previously, Copilot for Microsoft 365 was subject to a 300-user minimum purchase and required a Microsoft 365 license. However, these requirements have now been removed, making Copilot more accessible to organizations subscribed to Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 E3 and E5, or Office 365 E3 and E5.

Furthermore, Microsoft has made Copilot AI capabilities available to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers, aiming to cater to a wider range of users, including power users, creators, and researchers. The company has also announced the general availability of the Copilot app for iOS and Android phones, further expanding the reach of its AI-powered features.

With the launch of Copilot Pro and the expansion of Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft is aiming to provide a seamless and efficient way for users to unlock their creativity and enhance productivity through AI-powered tools. The introduction of Copilot Pro and its advanced features reflects Microsoft’s commitment to delivering innovative AI solutions to individuals and businesses, with the goal of enabling users to achieve more in their day-to-day tasks.
